Infection Preventionist
Infection Preventionist Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Infection Prevention Duration: Until May 2027 Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year of Infection Prevention experience required License: Current valid state nursing license Certifications: CIC certified required Must-Have: Experience in acute care and Infection Prevention Description: This contract position is to cover a long-term leave of absence. Candidates must be open to the contract length. Monday to Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays. Experience with the electronic health record system is highly preferred. The role requires working independently. A degree in Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or a related health science field is acceptable. House Supervisors with Infection Prevention experience will be considered. Eligible candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in Infection Prevention. The role includes responsibilities related to antibiotic stewardship, environmental cleaning, and infection prevention employee education. Candidates must maintain knowledge of healthcare acquired infections and reporting requirements. Transportation to and from work will be discussed as part of the employment process. Candidates should submit their availability for interviews during daytime hours. There are no requirements for on-call duties or weekend work. References must be provided covering relevant experience within the last three years. Travelers may be expected to float between facilities if required. Communication devices needed for the role will be provided by the employer. Module training may be required for the position.
