This role is pivotal in guiding a team of engineers, managing intricate customer projects, and influencing the development of cutting-edge equipment and processes in the medical device manufacturing sector. Reporting directly to the VP of Technology, this position combines technical leadership with team development and direct customer interaction.ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a team of Applications Engineers in tooling, process development, custom engineering solutions, and technical support.Oversee customer projects from initial concept through to implementation and customer acceptance.Collaborate directly with customers to address and solve manufacturing challenges.Provide technical guidance on tooling design, process development, validation, and product enhancements.Work in partnership with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Service, and Program Management teams to execute projects successfully.Enhance engineering practices, technical standards, and processes.Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering talent within the organization.Participate in customer meetings, executive discussions, and technical presentations.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
