About the Role

The Company is in search of an Associate General Counsel to provide essential support to the Chief Legal Officer and the company's leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of legal matters, including business program support, contract management, litigation, dispute resolution, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. Key responsibilities for this role include overseeing the negotiation, drafting, and execution of contracts related to residential solar energy projects, managing litigation and claims, and identifying and mitigating legal risks. The role also involves acting as the primary liaison with external legal advisors, investors, and regulatory bodies, and representing the company in various forums and proceedings. Applicants for the Associate General Counsel position at the company should have a J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school, a license to practice law, and a minimum of 3 years' legal experience. While experience in the residential solar industry is ideal, it is not required. The role demands a background in areas such as transactional law, litigation, intellectual property, consumer finance, regulatory licensing and permitting, and other relevant legal fields. Strong communication skills, good judgment, and the ability to manage outside counsel are essential. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory environment of the energy industry, particularly in the context of solar energy. Personal attributes such as high ethical standards, integrity, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach are also highly valued.
