If you enjoy problem-solving, working with advanced lab equipment, and making an impact through scientific accuracy, this role is for you.What You'll DoCarry out accurate analyses using standard test methods and deliver timely, reliable dataOperate analytical instruments (balances, ovens, wet chemistry tools, tensile testing equipment, and more)Keep laboratory equipment calibrated and functioning at peak performanceRecord results in lab logbooks, worksheets, and information systemsVerify data to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standardsCollaborate with engineers and managers to communicate findingsDocument, investigate, and help resolve nonconformance issuesIdentify and troubleshoot abnormal inspection results or equipment inconsistenciesConduct Measurement System Analysis to support data integrityMaintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environmentFollow all safety policies and promote safe work habitsTrain new team members on QC test methods and proceduresMonitor supply inventory and initiate reorders as neededContribute to additional project work as assignedWe'd Love to Hear from Candidates WithBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or similar; OR Associate degree in chemical technology (or equivalent) with 1+ year QC lab experience; OR High School diploma with 3+ years of QC lab experienceStrong understanding of laboratory equipment, analytical techniques, and data reportingAbility to perform basic calibration tasksSolid math skills (averages, percentages, metric conversions)Basic knowledge of statistical techniques and data trend evaluationHands-on experience with lab equipment, chemical handling, and safe lab practicesAbility to write clear procedures and reportsStrong attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to following SOPsAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyAbility to obtain (or currently possess) a DOE Q-level security clearanceA Successful Candidate Also BringsExperience with gravimetric analysis and tensile testingAbility to calibrate lab equipment or coordinate with calibration service providersSkill in troubleshooting and performing minor repairs on lab instrumentsExperience with internal quality auditsBackground in regulated environments (nuclear, aerospace, medical devices)Pay Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $64,248 - $107,080. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
