Accounting Receivable Representative

About the Role:

Badlands Distribution Inc is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Representative to join our growing team in Fargo, ND! In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping our financial operations running smoothly while working in a fast-paced distribution environment. Responsibilities:

Process and post incoming payments, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions
Generate and distribute accurate customer invoices in a timely manner
Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances and past-due accounts
Communicate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to address account-related inquiries
Assist with month-end closing processes and AR reporting

Requirements:

1+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related accounting role
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping
Excellent communication skills for professional customer and vendor interactions
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Experience in distribution, wholesale, or logistics industry is a plus
