Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Community Inclusion Specialist
Looking for a meaningful career with a steady weekday schedule? Easterseals is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with disabilities in community day, employment, and transition programs in the Greater Waterbury area.
Monday-Friday schedule — no nights or weekends
10 paid holidays per year

As a DSP, you'll support adults with disabilities in community and employment settings by:
- Assisting with daily living, social, and vocational skills
- Supporting individuals at community activities and work sites
- Encouraging independence, choice, and community inclusion
- Providing transportation to program activities and job sites
- Helping with personal care when needed (eating, dressing, toileting)
- Supporting janitorial/vocational training tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, restroom cleaning, and trash removal
- Completing daily documentation and following individual support plans
Must be 21 years or older
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
High School Diploma or GED required
Compassionate, reliable, patient, and willing to learn

- Job coaching or vocational support experience
