A clear command of the English language in written and verbal form is required. The ability to speak Spanish is desired, but not required. An extremely high level of attention to detail, independent problem solving, being highly organzied, and the ability to meet goals and deadlines are essential to being successful in this position. While this position can be hybrid, it will require travel to the firm's Clermont office approximately 4 days a week to handle mail. The rest of the time/day can be at home. Job Responsibilities Client communication - following up with clients to obtain and verify information as well functioning as a back-up to the intake person. Handling incoming client calls with professionalism, courtesy, and warmth. Prepare and mail outgoing documents. Track outgoing mail. Scan, save, and log all incoming case-related mail following detailed procedures. This includes handling highly sensitive documents with care and professionalism. Calendaring dates and deadlines. Open and close case files. Assist the legal team with data entry into relevant forms. Mailing cards and welcome packages to clients. Required Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant in a law firm. Ability to quickly learn and integrate information about family-based immigration, the firm’s services, mission, core values, and processes/procedures. Spanish speaking is desired but not required Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities. Strong attention to detail and a desire to create and adhere to systems and procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Pay commensurate with experience.
