Demonstrates clinical competency, nursing judgment, and teaching skills, as well as a commitment to improving the quality of patient care. Independently performs general and unit-specific clinical skills. Performs the functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse. Responsible for adhering to all Standards of Nursing Practice. Implements and evaluates age-appropriate care for all patients in the department, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-operative gynecological patients. Manages supplies and equipment while promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel from various departments. Adheres to policies regarding confidentiality and advance directives. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
