Job Details Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities. Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation. Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to director. Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines. Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated. Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience. Certifications: BLS, ACLS; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas. NBRC and 2 years of experience (or required certifications as specified). Physical Requirements Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; able to lift 20 pounds easily and up to 50 pounds at times. Requires specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
