SLP Service Coordination Manager The Arc of King County serves all people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities (IDD) across the lifespan, from prenatal diagnosis through end-of-life care. Description Responsible for coordinating contracted residential services within a team setting and defined caseload, this full‑time exempt leadership position supervises Coordinators who oversee Direct Support Professionals. The Manager ensures participants’ Individual Service Plans (ISP) goals are addressed, contracted hours are met, Residential guidelines and Washington Administrative Code (WAC) specific to residential supports are followed, and participants are empowered to live their lives through their own choices. Our Programs Include Information and Family Support for individuals with IDD, their family members, and community; Supported Living Services for adults living in the community; Public Policy and Civic Engagement for people who want to ensure communities and public services work for people with IDD. For more information about the organization, visit our website at Organizational Reporting Relationships Department: Supported Living Supervisor: Assistant Director of Supported Living Job Summary The Supported Living Service Coordination Manager is a team supervisor working with Coordinators who oversee Direct Support Professionals in managing a caseload of participants receiving contracted supports. Essential Functions Teach Coordinator team how to identify and implement best practice supports to meet participant needs in conjunction with other managers. Hold individual SLP Coordinator meetings to ensure that teams are scheduled, service goals are being addressed, staff certifications are current, refusals are addressed, documentation is complete, etc. Perform payroll supervisory tasks for assigned SLP Coordinators, ensuring accurate payroll and timely submission with Finance. Collaborate with Health Care team and other leaders within The Arc of King County to ensure program compliance and quality care of Supported Living participants. Recruit and train new Coordinators, mentor them, and identify trainings applicable to their supervisory duties. Work with Coordinators to identify staff training needs and create performance improvement plans with HR. Participate in orientations and other trainings as needed. Communicate directly with DDCS case manager regarding participant needs, developing issues, and ensuring incident reports are submitted in a timely manner. Support audit preparation for the Supported Living Program. Regularly monitor responsibilities within the Supported Living Program to ensure audit readiness. Conduct audits and report participant documentation to ensure DSP and Coordinator efforts are audit‑ready and compliant with state and federal requirements. Assist SLP Assistant Director and Director in responding to audit deficiencies and corrective actions. Monitor and coach performance of Coordinators, conduct Performance Reviews, and monitor ongoing performance. Work with HR to carry out necessary disciplinary action and termination of underperforming Coordinators. Maintain an updated Outlook calendar. Track participant refusals and report to DDCS. Ensure participants’ support needs match their Tier, guaranteeing hours billed are equal to Exhibit C and scheduled DSP hours do not exceed budgeted amount. Assist in collecting documents related to all investigations. Act as conduit between the SLP Department and Finance Department regarding Participant needs, RARs, and startup expenses. Attend agency‑wide and SLP team meetings as needed. Work with Assistant Director to ensure the department is operating within WAC regulations. Elevate issues to Assistant Director as necessary. Review referrals, provide input, and manage intakes of new participants with Director and Assistant Director of Supported Living. Work with HR to ensure participants have sufficient staff with adequate training to support them. Find housing for participants as necessary. Communicate to SLP Directors when participants exit or re‑enter the program. Attend meetings with external agencies that support participants to ensure interagency collaboration. Step in and perform Coordinator duties when a Coordinator is unavailable. Ensure PCSPs and IISPs are updated in a timely manner per the WAC. Ensure participants’ houses/apartments meet standards required to maintain a Seattle/King County/Renton Housing Voucher. Prioritize tasks effectively and seek Assistant Director assistance when needed. Carry a 24‑hour emergency phone in rotation with other SLP Leadership team members; back‑up on‑call manager responsibilities after 6 months of frontline experience. Physical And Other Requirements Ability to work flexible hours and days Ability to work prolonged hours at a computer WA driver’s license with good driving record, insurance, and reliable transportation Ability to pass a criminal background check Emotional and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum Qualifications Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, interpersonal skills Previous management or supervisory experience Minimum of two years’ experience working with people who have a developmental disability Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse economic, ethnic, and social backgrounds Experience using MS Office and databases A combination of education, experience, and measurable performance demonstrates capability to perform the duties of this position.
