Chemical Operator I Details:
- Temp-to-Hire position
- $20.00 / hour
- Full Time work available
- First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm )
- Once trained, shift will change to 4-nights a week
- Manufacture specialty chemicals with strict attention to the quantities and procedures indicated on batch sheets
- Accurately report any changes made to batch sheets and record batch yields
- Follow established lab procedures precisely
- Conduct safe operation of various plant equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, mixing tanks, reactors, pumps, homogenizers, and vacuum pumpa
- Perform manual labor, including the routine handling of drums weighing up to 600 lbs. and lifting up to 100 lbs
- Execute all functions necessary to assure on-time delivery and the manufacture of quality products. This includes troubleshooting equipment and batches, and communicating with other departments to obtain necessary resources such as raw materials and batch sheets
- Perform data entry for production records and other documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader Chemical Operator, Production Supervisor, Assistant Plant Manager, or other Site Managers
Chemical Operator I Qualifications:
- Proof of High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Experience in a production environment, including chemical mixing, general warehouse operations, and manufacturing tasks
- Basic data entry skills
- 1-3 years of chemical manufacturing experience but willing to train
- Forklift experience preferred
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
