Key Qualifications:

• Valid Adapted Curriculum K-12 teaching license
• General Curriculum K-12 license strongly preferred, especially for those with self-contained classroom experience and behavioral support backgrounds
• Provisional licenses are not accepted; ensure licensure is current per state guidelines
• Experience with intensive support for elementary-level learners
• Proactive, compassionate approach when addressing academic and behavioral challenges
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with school teams and families

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction tailored to individual student IEP goals, focusing on both academic and behavioral growth
• Implement evidence-based strategies and adaptive techniques in a self-contained classroom setting
• Accurately maintain documentation and case notes as required
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to create supportive, inclusive learning environments
• Adapt lesson plans and interventions based on ongoing student data and needs
• Attend meetings, professional development, and planning sessions as needed
