Accounting Specialist, Financial Reporting & Consolidations (Hybrid)

Pratt & Whitney designs, manufactures and services aircraft engines and related systems. This role is for an Accounting Specialist, Financial Reporting & Consolidations based in East Hartford, CT. What You Will Do The Financial Reporting and Consolidation team seeks a highly motivated Accounting Specialist to support financial reporting requirements and the consolidation of actual results for monthly and quarterly reporting. Collaborate with the RTX Controller’s Department and Pratt & Whitney groups (Group FP&A, Commercial Engines, Military Engines & Manufacturing accounting teams). Support 10Q and 10K disclosures for RTX external filings. Analyze quarterly variances from strategic business units and coordinate outreach with key contacts. Support accounting activities for the group headquarters ledger (journal entries, reconciliations, and related analyses). Perform testing of key controls related to financial reporting and consolidation processes. Implement policies and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy with corporate requirements. Participate in transformation initiatives to enhance department processes and assist with process improvements across reporting and consolidation workflows. Partner with Technical Accounting on special projects, including adoption of new accounting standard updates (ASUs). Report directly to the Associate Director of Financial Reporting and Consolidations. Qualifications You Must Have Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required with at least 5+ years of experience in Accounting and Finance; OR a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. Familiarity with balance sheet and P&L analytics. Experience with SAP and HFM/OneStream. Strong understanding of accounting systems and controls. Excellent communication (written and oral) and analytical skills, including strong proficiency with process documentation and attention to detail. Ability to tailor communication to various audiences and support sharing of information across the organization. Ability to work well under pressure in a multitasking and deadline-driven environment. Qualifications We Prefer Certified Public Accountant. Additional Information Role Type: Hybrid. Employees work regularly onsite and offsite; onsite presence is required regularly. Salary range: 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.
