Sr Manager, Process Engineering

Senior Manager in Manufacturing Science and Technology at Kite/Gilead supporting clinical cell therapy manufacturing operations. This technical leadership role partners across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and IT to ensure reliable equipment operation, automation systems, and GMP-compliant processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for GMP manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and troubleshooting
- Support technology transfers, new product introductions, and equipment readiness assessments
- Conduct manufacturing operations support including lot monitoring and issue escalation management
- Author and review deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data analytics and emerging manufacturing technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with eight years' experience, or Master's degree with six years' experience, or PhD/PharmD
- Biotech or pharma facilities and engineering experience
- Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or Computer Science degree
- GMP manufacturing operations, automation systems, or process engineering experience
- Biologics, cell therapy, gene therapy, or pharmaceutical manufacturing knowledge
- Investigation, change control, and quality systems experience
- Technical writing and cross-functional collaboration skills
