Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role and hold current ACLS and BLS certifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, focusing on monitoring, evaluating, and documenting patient status before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist in various cardiac and vascular procedures, demonstrating expertise in circulating roles.
• Participate in hospital simulations to maintain proficiency in essential nursing skills, including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Fulfill call requirements with a response time of 30 minutes.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or closely related field.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably Cerner and Xper.

Work Schedule

This position requires working 3 shifts per week, each lasting 12 hours, from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Additionally, the RN will be expected to work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule and participate in holiday coverage as needed.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
• Number of Procedure Beds: 3 main and 1 each for Electrophysiology (EP) and Hybrid cases.
• Average Cases Per Day: 10-25.
• Support Staff: Rad technicians will assist in circulation and scrubbing roles.

Additional Information

Orientation will consist of 2 days specific to the unit. This position requires traveling nurses to demonstrate competency in maintaining a sterile field and essential nursing skills through a simulation lab.
