Healthcare Audit Senior Associate

Job Description Withum’s Auditing and Attest Engagement services are the cornerstone of our firm. The Audit and Advisory Team provides audit, review, and compilation services for a variety of client sizes and industries. The successful candidate will work exclusively with Withum’s Healthcare Services group to audit healthcare organizations. How You’ll Spend Your Time Lead the engagement team on the planning and execution of audit, review or compilation engagements to provide world‑class client service. Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the engagement, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting, and conclusion. Supervise and support staff, encouraging open communication to the engagement manager and partner. Collaborate with managers and partners on client issue resolutions and recommend solutions for legal, regulatory and accounting matters that arise. Review scheduled and non‑scheduled general ledger accounts for accurate entries. Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet client deadlines. Create and track engagement budgets, reviewing for inefficiencies that may arise during the audit. Conduct constructive discussions with team members on evaluations and provide counsel accordingly. Serve as an instructor or discussion leader in professional development programs. The Kind of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Licensed CPA, or working toward CPA certification. At least 2 years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff. Experience serving clients in the healthcare industry. Understanding of uniform guidance as it relates to healthcare organizations. Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including familiarity with US GAAP. Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships. Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast‑paced, results‑based environment. Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the firm to client management. Excellent analytical, organizational, project‑management skills; strong attention to detail and innovative problem‑solving. Ability to travel as needed. Compensation Whippany, NJ ranges from \$80,000 – \$97,500 annually. New York City ranges from \$85,000 – \$105,000 annually.
