Procurement Specialist

Procurement SpecialistWe are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support purchasing and vendor management for a rapidly growing, multi-location Retail dealership organization. This position will support day-to-day purchasing activities, vendor coordination, pricing management, purchase orders, procurement reporting, and process improvement across multiple dealership and service locations. The ideal candidate is a proactive, analytical professional who can manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams, and help ensure locations have the products, equipment, supplies, and services they need to operate efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport purchasing activities across multiple dealership and service locationsProcess purchase orders, purchase requests, invoices, and related procurement documentationSource products, supplies, equipment, and services from approved and potential vendorsObtain and compare vendor quotes, pricing, availability, and delivery schedulesAssist with vendor negotiations and maintain pricing, payment terms, and service agreementsMaintain and update preferred-vendor lists and purchasing informationMonitor vendor performance, including pricing, delivery, quality, and responsivenessTrack orders and follow up with vendors to ensure timely deliveryIdentify purchasing discrepancies, pricing inconsistencies, and opportunities for cost savingsHelp consolidate purchasing volume and reduce unnecessary vendor overlapMaintain accurate vendor records, contracts, pricing agreements, and purchasing documentationPartner with Operations, Service, Parts, Finance, IT, Facilities, and leadership to understand purchasing needsAssist with procurement of equipment, supplies, technology, facility services, and other operational requirementsEnsure purchases follow company policies, approval requirements, and established procurement proceduresAssist with developing and maintaining purchasing policies, procedures, and internal controlsPrepare reports and spreadsheets to track spending, purchasing activity, savings, vendor performance, and procurement trendsSupport budgeting and forecasting by providing purchasing data and cost informationResearch new vendors, products, and services as neededHelp identify supply-chain risks, potential service interruptions, and purchasing inefficienciesAssist with resolving vendor issues, order discrepancies, damaged goods, and invoice discrepanciesContinuously identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, systems, and reportingProvide administrative and analytical support to the procurement function and company leadership as neededQualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field preferred2+ years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, vendor management, or related business experience preferredExperience supporting multiple locations or departments is a plusExperience in the Retail Dealships, automotive, dealership, retail, service, or similar industry is a plusStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to obtain, compare, and analyze vendor pricing and purchasing informationBasic understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and purchase ordersStrong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft OfficeExperience with purchasing, ERP, inventory, or business management systems preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build and maintain positive vendor and internal relationshipsStrong problem-solving and follow-through skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing organizationAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departmentsHigh level of integrity and discretion when handling vendor information, contracts, pricing, and confidential business informationWhat You'll Do This is an opportunity to play an important role in building and strengthening a centralized procurement function for a growing RV dealership organization.
