Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.The Shipboard Missiles (SBM) sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) is looking for a CFO to lead all aspects of financial management for the Evolved SeaSparrow Missile (ESSM) program area to enable the achievement of its Annual Operating Plan and long-term strategic goals. The ESSM program provides reliable ship self-defense capability against agile, high-speed, low-altitude anti-ship cruise missiles; low velocity air threats, such as helicopters; and high-speed, maneuverable surface threats. In this role, you’ll be a key member of the SBM Finance Leadership team and ESSM Leadership Team where you will partner with the ESSM Senior Director, Program leaders, and functional partners in an exciting and quick hitting environment to ensure financial and business goals are met through proactive overseeing, team guidance, and recommendation-based analysis to drive successful results across the program area. The ideal candidate will be able to provide financial guidance to this high-growth program area, ensuring program execution and strong business controls. We are looking for someone with the ability to work under tight deadlines and multitask across a variety of critical execution and capture activities that lead the ESSM program into the future.This position is currently designated as Onsite. The successful candidate will be required to work onsite from one of the following Raytheon locations: Tucson AZ, Scottsdale Skysong, AZ, Massachusetts sites (Andover, Tewksbury, Woburn), and Portsmouth RI.What You Will DoYou will be accountable for financial execution across the Shipboard Missiles (SBM) Critical Munitions Acceleration (CMA) portfolio of programs, with effort spanning Non-Recurring Development, long term multi-year production, and internal capital/expense investment that support the required large-scale production capacity increase. Partner with the SM-3 and SM-6 programs to drive execution, provide actionable insights across all program areas, and interface with the Capacity Growth Office (CGO) to implement and sustain execution best practices.The programs you will support project more than $1B of annual revenue and will support a variety of internal reporting and excluding reporting requirements, including Earned Value, GAAP Financial Model, etc.This role requires oversight of multiple different cost-type and FFP contracts, and complex development areas such as second sourcing and driving cost reduction initiatives.You will be responsible for providing financial planning guidance across program areas and coordinating with the SBM FP&A lead to develop robust financial forecasts.You will also be responsible for managing and tracking company investments and program funding positions.You will coordinate with functional finance leaders to ensure Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) alignment and will coordinate staffing demand and supply forecasts between functions and programs and ensure proper prioritization of resources.Establish business cadence and develop dashboards to ensure execution data is visible and provide actionable insights.This role requires collaboration across all Shipboard programs and finance including SM-3 IIA, SM-3 IB, SM-6 IAU, SM-2 IIICU, SM-6 IU, ESSM.Build strong and trusting relationships, provide guidance, and sustain regular communications with internal Raytheon programs.Requires proactive leadership and significant interaction with the Program Managers, Contracts, Requirements & Capabilities, Supply Chain, and others, to ensure alignment regarding strategic, operating, and financial objectives.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Math, Business or a related field or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience.Experience in managing staff and leading business teams.U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. (Secret) security clearance.U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We PreferExcellent oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to be proactive, creative, and innovative and use critical and strategic thinking.Sound analytical, problem identification, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to influence others.Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and lead teams to success and develop talent.Experience in program proposal strategy, negotiations, performance-based payment (PBP) strategy and price modeling for variance in quantity (VIQ)Experience with government contracting, DoD or AerospaceExperience in Financial Planning and AnalysisBroad understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).What we offerOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
