Software Release Engineer

Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases across the Trip Optimizer and LOCOTROL product portfolios.
- Support software release plans with engineering and project management teams.
- Coordinate with Quality and Cyber Security to ensure SDLC compliance with applicable standards.
- Collect and analyze performance metrics with software and validation engineers.
- Design, implement, and test embedded software from requirements analysis through production and commercial deployment.
- Develop product software in C and C++ for x86 and/or PowerPC microprocessors.
- Participate in design and code reviews and drive performance and reliability enhancements.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines and support software development.
- Ensure application development meets product specification requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of related work experience.
- Experience with x86 and/or PowerPC microprocessors in a C/C++ environment.
- Experience using GitLab.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles and strong technical documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Preferred experience with Coverity, VectorCAST, Jenkins, Perforce, IBM ELM Tool Suite, and Tollgate software development.
