Customer Service RepresentativeWe are seeking a dedicated and professional Customer Service Representative to join our team in Columbus, Georgia for a temporary assignment lasting just over one year. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset, with prior experience in a call center or customer service environment. This position plays a vital role in providing accurate, courteous, and timely service to customers regarding water services and related account activities.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDAt least 6 months of experience in a customer service or call center environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)Ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, and professional mannerWork Schedule:Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Engage in day-to-day customer service activities, including processing service orders and addressing customer inquiriesProvide general and detailed information to customers regarding water services, billing, and account informationReceive and process requests for service installations, connections, discontinuations, and changes in serviceIssue appropriate work orders, service discontinuance notices, and final bills using a database systemComplete contract forms, determine service charges, and prepare change-of-address recordsMaintain accurate and appropriate documentation for all customer interactions and service requestsInvestigate and resolve customer complaints, offering solutions for more complex service issues in a timely mannerCalculate and apply bill rebates and adjustments as necessaryMaintain updated routing plats and assist with construction quote requests for serviceOperate mail extraction and cash posting equipment to process incoming customer paymentsHandle and route general incoming mail efficientlyAdditional Information:This is a temporary position expected to last just over one year.
