Contract Buyer
Our government client in NYC is looking for a Contract Buyer for a longterm contract. Must have 3-5 years working experience purchasing goods and services. Training done onsite for the first 2-3 weeks and then a 2/3 and 3/2 hybrid work schedule. Hours: 9AM to 5:30PM, hour unpaid lunch, 40 billable hours per week. Term: estimated at 12 months.

- Capable of contract management from inception to end of the entire process, not just coordination
- Driving the entire purchasing process
- Customer management
- Finding new vendors
- Negotiating
- Government procurement a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Articulate unable to communicate over video calls
- Manage relationship with the internal business management team
- Gather the requirements and translated into an RFP
- Able to deal with boots on ground to keep operations moving smoothly: example dealing with facilities management, lease agreements, fueling, maintenance, special project team, services, some equipment, purchasing and facilities
