Grant Writer

Working remotely on a contract basis, the part-time Grant Writer will manage grant writing, proposal development, and prospect research to drive fundraising efforts and maintain a robust grants pipeline. Key Responsibilities Conduct prospect research and manage a live grants pipeline to identify funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals and supporting documentation while engaging internal stakeholders for necessary data Track deadlines and maintain a submission calendar to ensure timely follow-through and reporting on awarded grants Required Qualifications 3-5 years of successful grant writing experience, including ownership of grant projects and budget development Strong grant prospect research skills and familiarity with funding databases Experience with CRM and project management systems, such as Hubspot and Asana Excellent writing and storytelling skills to create compelling narratives for funders Background in mission-driven or nonprofit organizations with a deep understanding of Africa and its communities
