Registered Nurse - Med Surg Flex

Responsibility Summary The role involves providing medical/surgical nursing care on the Med Surg Flex unit with pediatric, cardiac, neurology, stroke, dialysis, pulmonary, hospice, and geriatric patients. Nurses will float between the 32-bed 3B unit, the 30-bed 3C unit, and the 2-bed Med Surg 2 (Adult Surgical Stepdown) unit, caring for surgical and medical patients such as orthopedic, urology, OBGYN, and general surgery. Shift Full‑Time | Nights Part‑Time | Days and Nights Nursing Skills Gained Time management in a fast‑paced environment Prioritization of care Qualifications Associate of Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Preferably 1 year Med Surg experience. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Candidates without accredited program may be considered if they have more than two years of acute care experience (subject to review by CNO). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA required. Additional advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty. About the Unit The Med Surg Flex unit is a high‑acuity medical/surgical inpatient environment focused on adult surgical step‑down care, with a patient population primarily surgical patients and some medical patients with infections, wounds, and chronic health issues. #J-18808-Ljbffr Inuplands
