REGISTERED NURSE, DSU, Part Time

Responsibilities Provide direct and indirect patient care in the DSU and PHA (preoperative holding area) environment. Communicate changes in patient’s clinical condition with physicians, nurse manager, director/co-workers. Perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassess per policy, including pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations. Assess and manage pain, utilizing appropriate pain management techniques and educating patients and families about pain management. Establish plan of care indicated by physician orders and condition. Treat patients and families with respect and dignity. Identify and address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs. Act as liaison between administration, patients, physicians and other healthcare providers. Interact professionally with patient/family, involve them in formation of the plan of care and discharge plan. Qualifications Current Nevada Registered Nurse Licensure.
