COOK (FULL TIME)

Overview COOK (FULL TIME) position at Compass One Healthcare. We are hiring immediately for a COOK (FULL TIME) role located at Kern Psychiatric, 718 Workman Street, Bakersfield, CA 93307. Online applications are accepted only. Responsibilities Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules. Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, ensures food is at the correct temperature, and is attractive and tasty; tastes all prepared food items. Maintains clean and safe kitchen practices; cleans kitchen after preparation and serving and stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures. Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized; ensures proper storage of food and supplies. Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed; assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required. Assists in ordering and receiving all food and supplies; reports maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor. Attends in-service and safety meetings; maintains positive working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers. Adheres to HACCP standards and follows company policies and procedures, including safety and proper use of protective gear. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Prior culinary experience in a similar role required. Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Ability to work full-time with weekend and evening availability as required by the schedule. Compensation and Benefits Pay rate: $21.00 per hour.
