Step into a vital role supporting student success as a Behavior Intervention Specialist within an educational setting near Princeton, TX. This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about developing and implementing positive behavioral strategies to enhance classroom environments and facilitate student growth.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree highly valued
- Valid Texas teaching certification, including Special Education endorsements
- Experience in special education, social work, counseling, or related areas
- Background in school counseling, licensed professional counseling (LPC), Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA), psychology, or school social work preferred
Core Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to individual student needs
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to identify factors impacting student behaviors
- Collaborate and participate in ARD, IEP, RTI, and 504 committee meetings to advocate for and support students
- Provide on-site crisis intervention and ongoing classroom support to teachers and students
- Consult with staff and families to share best practices for student behavioral growth
- Uphold a strong commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and evidence-based practices
This contract position offers a competitive starting pay of $30+ per hour, in line with experience, and the stability of 37.5 scheduled hours each week. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and make meaningful contributions to students' academic and social-emotional development.
