Summary

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of buildings and facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Cleanliness of entire facility
• Emptying and cleaning garbage bins
• Cleaning kitchen, bathrooms, equipment, walls, and stairs
• Inventory management of cleaning supplies
• Works with all departments to assure safe clean working environment
• Follows HACCP, GMP requirements are met or exceeded
• Works efficiently in a timely manner
• Works with safety in mind at all times
• Assist in other departments as needed

Qualification Skills:

• The ability to lift 20-50 pounds regularly
• The ability to respond quickly to sounds
• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
• The ability to work for short period of time in cooler and freezer
• Lifting, carrying, walking, standing kneeling, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling for long periods
• Able to communicate effectively
• 1-year related experience
• Able to follow detailed cleaning procedures and implement or improve on existing ones
• Work with cleaning chemicals daily
• Ability to operate sanitation equipment (mop, broom and or vacuum)

Requirements:

• 1-3 years in related position, experience in sanitation required
• Required to complete SQF paperwork for assigned duties
• Work independently.
• Ability to follow safety protocols
• Ability to work in the cold/freezer
