Nurse Practitioner | Surgery - General/Other Location: New York Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are actively seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) with strong surgical and robotics experience for a rewarding locum tenens assignment in a collaborative acute care setting. This role offers a balanced mix of Operating Room first assist and surgical floor responsibilities , working across multiple specialties. Position Overview Specialty: Surgery (General Surgery / First Assist) Start Date: August 31, 2026 Duration: 26 weeks (with potential extension) Schedule: Full-Time Coverage (4 weeks/month) Shift: Tuesday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Call Opportunities (Optional): 1–2 weekends/month (Friday 5 PM – Monday 7 AM, with rounding Sat–Sun 8 AM – 12 PM) Up to 4 weeknight call shifts/month (5 PM – 7 AM) Practice Setting Acute care hospital environment Combination of Operating Room and Medical/Surgical Floor coverage Work across General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic cases Adult patient population with varied acuity EMR: Epic Key Responsibilities Serve as Surgical First Assist in the operating room Assist with procedures including suturing, wound closure, hemostasis, and patient positioning Support surgeons during robotic and general surgical procedures Provide inpatient care including: Rounding and progress notes Order management and consults Discharge planning Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia, and care teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes Requirements Active New York Nurse Practitioner license (required) Board Certified Minimum 2 years of recent surgical experience Robotics experience required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS (AHA) Experience with Epic EMR Additional Details Preference for candidates open to full-time onsite coverage/relocation Orientation provided Must maintain complete and up-to-date work history with no significant gaps Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset required Why Consider This Opportunity?
