Overview
Infection Prevention Specialist (Registered Nurse) – Roseville, CA. Start date: 06/22/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,535-$2,704 per week. Shift: Days, 4-hour shifts. Setting: hospital; this is a travel - temporary assignment. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed.

Responsibilities
- Perform surveillance, analysis, interpretation and reporting of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI)
- Write and update infection prevention policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance with TJC, OSHA, CMS, CDC and other national guidelines
- Provide infection prevention education to staff and support ongoing infection control training
- Conduct initial assessment and maintain records related to work injuries and illnesses as part of infection control programs
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure employee health screenings, annual immunization updates, and workers’ compensation reporting of employee injuries and illnesses

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (California) or eligibility for California licensure
- Experience in infection prevention, hospital epidemiology, or infection control (preferred)
- Knowledge of regulatory standards for infection prevention (TJC, OSHA, CMS, CDC) and related practices
- Ability to perform surveillance, data analysis, and interpretation; capable of reporting findings clearly
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to educate and partner with multidisciplinary teams
- Certification in infection prevention (e.g., CPI) or eligibility preferred
