Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED RN)

Location: Watertown, NY
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM | Nights
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Radius Rule: 100 Miles - Travel Only

Requirements

Current New York State RN License required
BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications required
Meditech experience required
Previous travel nursing experience required
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Strong Emergency Department/critical care experience preferred
Charge Nurse experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

Assess patients and quickly identify and intervene in life-threatening situations while providing safe, high-quality emergency care.
Apply strong nursing judgment to assess clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual patient needs .
Recognize patient and staff safety concerns and appropriately implement safe patient handling/lifting techniques .
Provide IV therapy, medication administration, phlebotomy, and other required nursing interventions.
Function effectively in high-stress environments with strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills and effectively delegate and prioritize patient care ; may assume Charge Nurse responsibilities when required.
Maintain excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication .
