IS Machinist HELPER

Machinist HelperHPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for a Machinist Helper to join their safety conscious team! This opportunity is based out of the La Porte, TX area. Mileage and per diem is available;Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employmentGroup 401K with company matching componentOpportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your careerGenerous paid time off, company paid training, and tuition reimbursementPositive and safe work environmentsResponsibilitiesAssisting with the operation of machine shop equipment, such as CNC machines, manual mills, routers, and various saws, cutters, and presses.Cleaning and maintaining the shop floor, machines, and equipment.Assisting with basic fabrication tasks, such as deburring, grinding, and buffing.Checking parts for defects and ensuring they meet quality standards.Assisting with the assembly of components.Reading and understanding work instructions and shop orders.Promoting safety practices and adhering to safety protocols.Performing other tasks as assigned, which may include inventory control, part identification, and material organization.QualificationsBasic Math Skills: Ability to perform simple calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of basic mechanical principles and shop practices.Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions and maintain a clean, organized workspace.Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move materials, and stand for extended periods.Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with other team members.Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with machinists, supervisors, and other shop personnel.Basic Safety Knowledge: Understanding of basic safety practices in a machine shop environment.About HPC-Industrial:HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is the premier industrial cleaning and environmental services company in North America supporting the upstream, downstream, and utility sectors.
