Project Manager – Civil & Utility Construction Watts Electric Company | Waverly/Lincoln, Nebraska Heartland Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of Watts Electric Company for a Project Manager to join their growing team. Watts Electric is an established Nebraska power and infrastructure contractor with projects across civil, utility, electrical, underground, powerline and telecommunications construction. We are looking for someone who understands construction and has the ability to take ownership of projects from startup through completion. We are open to both experienced Project Managers and high-potential, early-career construction professionals who are ready to take the next step into project management. What You'll Be Doing Manage and coordinate construction projects from startup through completion Work closely with Superintendents, Foremen, Estimators and Operations Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials and schedules Monitor project budgets, job costs, production and financial performance Manage change orders, documentation, billing information and project closeout Review plans, specifications, contracts and project requirements Coordinate with customers, engineers, municipalities and other stakeholders Identify problems early and develop solutions to keep projects moving Ensure field teams have the equipment, materials and information they need Take ownership of project schedule, quality, safety and overall execution Who We're Looking For We are interested in candidates from a variety of construction backgrounds, including: Civil and heavy civil construction Utility and underground utility construction Electrical construction Powerline, transmission and distribution Substations Telecom and fiber infrastructure Directional boring/HDD Construction Management or Construction Engineering Experienced PMs are encouraged to apply, but we also want to hear from Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, Field Engineers and other high-potential construction professionals ready to grow into greater project responsibility. A degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field is valuable, but practical field and construction experience will also be strongly considered. We're especially interested in someone who is organized, technologically adaptable, communicates well, takes initiative and follows through. Compensation: $90,000–$160,000 annually, depending on experience The range is intentionally broad because Watts Electric is open to different levels of experience. An experienced Project Manager with a strong background in civil, utility, electrical or infrastructure construction may qualify toward the higher end of the range. We are also open to a high-potential Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager or early-career construction professional who is ready to grow into a Project Manager role.
