Job Details Job Location: CFG Riverside - Riverside, CA 92505 Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $20.00 - $20.00 Hourly Job Shift: Any Job Category: Restaurant - Food Service CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-Exempt Job Summary Responsible for enacting cash and credit card transactions for menu items purchased by guests throughout the daily restaurant serving hours. Accountable To Restaurant General Manager / Training General Manager Work To Be Performed Greet guests, receive food orders, repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests, receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change for each transaction. Be able to enact gift cards requested by guests. Be very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant’s menu and prices. Interact with guests in a friendly/fast manner. Ability to make corrections to guest orders in a fast and efficient manner. Ability to determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving counterfeit money. Assure age requirements are verified prior to serving alcoholic beverages. Treat all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential. Keeps work area neat and clean at all times. Cleans and maintains equipment used. Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned. General Responsibilities Supports the Mission, Values and Vision of California Fish Grill and the facility. Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures and programs for safety—including precautions and safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security, report and/or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs. Confidentiality of all data, including guest credit card information. Compliance with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from sexual harassment and all illegal and discriminatory behavior. Cooperates and works together with all co-workers; plan and complete job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment. Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations. Follows up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers or guests regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns. Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe 100%—[phrase incomplete; kept]. Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Must be of legal age according to State regulations to serve alcohol. Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures as directed by the Restaurant Manager. Ability to be aware of and follow company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations. Proficient reading and writing skills. Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills. Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 lbs or less. Manual dexterity. Prior experience in related cashier or food service positions. Valid ServSafe® or other approved Food Handler Certification. High level of integrity and honesty. Working Conditions Restaurant environment. When warranted, may be required to work beyond normal working hours as needed to meet guest needs or restaurant requirements. Frequent standing, reaching with hands and arms, stooping and kneeling.
