Electrical Engineer II - Engineering Change Leader

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to lead engineering changes for complex scientific instrumentation throughout product lifecycles. The role coordinates cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate, execute, and implement product modifications while maintaining technical documentation accuracy and manufacturing feasibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering Change Requests and Orders for assigned products according to established processes
• Evaluate proposed changes for technical feasibility, scope, risk, and manufacturing impact
• Review mechanical drawings, CAD models, and technical product documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Coordinate technical review by subject matter experts and drive cross-functional resolution of complex issues
• Monitor change work-in-process, priorities, milestones and cycle times for assigned product lines

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education and directly relevant experience
• 5+ years mechanical engineering, product engineering, sustaining engineering, or change management experience
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation
• Demonstrated experience with 3D CAD models, mechanical drawings, assemblies and BOMs
• Experience with Engineering Change Requests/Orders and configuration/change control processes
• Understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and design-for-manufacturability
• Ability to lead cross-functional activities and resolve technical ambiguity without direct authority
