Job Summary: Hood River, OR Intensive Care Unit (ICU) ICU/MS Float Registered Nurse (RN). The ICU/MS Float RN will provide care across ICU and Med/Surg levels based on unit needs, with the majority of shifts typically spent providing Med/Surg level of care. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days (12) 36.0 minimum hours per week; weekends required every other weekend.
• Required Qualifications: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Med-Surg experience (1 year preferred as listed), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Epic charting experience; and a current, valid RN license.
• Preferred Qualifications: Epic charting experience.
• Float: ICU/MS float to Med/Surg units may be required based on patient and unit needs.
• Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care with skills including accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator management, central line care/management and Central Venous Pressure Monitoring (CVP), titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, Continuous IV sedation, care of ventilated patients, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) management, Blood Product Administration, intake and output monitoring, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), infection prevention and Isolation Precautions/PPE, and supporting care for conditions including Acute Kidney Injury and acute/chronic renal failure.
• Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to care for ventilated patients and manage patients with critical and post-operative diagnoses as needed. Must have a vehicle for this assignment. Candidates may be expected to float within the systems nearby facilities; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Commitment to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, NYE, NYD) is required.
