These individuals will work closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to foster each child’s academic, social, and emotional growth. Key Responsibilities Provide individualized support to students with special needs in the preschool classroom Assist with implementing instructional activities and individualized education plan (IEP) goals Support the development of communication, social, and self‑help skills Monitor and document student progress and behavior as directed by teaching staff Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment Assist with classroom routines, activities, and transitions Collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) Experience working with young children and/or children with special needs preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting student success Schedule & Compensation Hours and wage in accordance with district policy and experience How to Apply Interested candidates should submit an online application through Teach Iowa or contact the Early Childhood Center Director for more information.
