The Project Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for projects, with a focus on steel and sheet metal work. This job is based fully in-office and involves close collaboration with sales, engineering, and other internal teams to gather project information. The Estimator will use tools such as Smartsheet and Excel to manage target dates and track project data. They will begin with standardized, entry-level estimating tasks to build familiarity before progressing to more complex projects. Core responsibilities include reviewing project specifications and drawings, developing material and labor cost breakdowns, researching historical data such as purchase orders and productivity reports, and identifying potential risks that could impact project costs. Responsible for communicating with all levels of project management and cross-functional teams, analyzing data to develop accurate cost estimates, and providing regular estimation updates to internal stakeholders.
