Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room (ER) care is needed in Lewiston, Maine. This position involves working at a Level 2 trauma center providing care for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The shift operates from 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m., and the minimum weekly hours are 36.

Job Details:

• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; Certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS/BCLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIH), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); 2 years of experience in a non-trauma emergency department; experience in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, ventilated patients, triage; Additional certifications such as the Comprehensive Pulse (CPI) are preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with wide range of patients from pediatrics to geriatrics, equipment such as ultrasound (US), bladder scanner, neuro tele computer, Care Aware handheld devices; familiarity with Omnicell, EPIC, SBAR electronic health record systems.
• Schedule: 12-hour shift, shift hours from 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m., minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Travelers are required to float to Emergency Department Holding areas; patient ratios are approximately 1:4; no guaranteed weekend hours, but efforts are made to ensure a fair schedule; no call requirements.
