Manufacturing Design Engineer (MDE) - Packaging

Responsibilities In this role at Apple, you will manage the R&D, selection, and implementation of manufacturing processes for consumer packaging parts and assemblies. You will work closely with internal and external partners to develop innovative solutions that align with Apple's product and environmental goals. The position requires collaboration with various teams to leverage manufacturing capabilities and drive new material development. Your efforts will contribute to creating extraordinary products and enhancing Apple's commitment to sustainability. Qualifications 5+ years of work experience in manufacturing process development, manufacturing or product quality, tooling and fixture design, or automation development. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Packaging, or Chemical Engineering or relevant manufacturing work experience. In-depth knowledge of Design For Manufacturing concepts such as GD&T, Tolerance Analysis, and SPC. Demonstrated experience employing analytical tools to solve complex problems. Ability to learn and implement statistical tools for data-driven decision making. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
