Position description

The University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine, Department of is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body. We are seeking an outstanding recruit in Pediatric Urology to join a large, collaborative group practice of urologists within a nationally recognized academic health system.

This position will be a member of a comprehensive Pediatric Urology program, including management of a diverse and complex patient population drawn from a large regional referral base. The role will also involve managing a diverse patient population coming from a large referral area and practice and coverage at Rady Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, and will foster excellence in clinical care, education, and research.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent or an MD/PhD in health-related fields.

Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the California Medical Board.

Candidates must have completed a Urology residency program.

Candidates must have completed a Pediatric Urology fellowship program.

Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Urology.
