Job Summary Join the Program Acquisition Executive Fires - SHIELD Project Office in a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting the Lower Tier Interceptor (LTI) Product Office. As a Hardware Engineer , you will support current programs of record, obsolescence mitigation efforts, and emerging programs by reviewing requirements documentation, qualification test plans, and participating in major engineering reviews. - Serve as Hardware Engineer Subject Matter Expert supporting LTI Systems Engineering on LTI managed PATRIOT Launcher and GEM-T Missile Programs
- Provide technical support at Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, working groups, and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM)
- Support major System Engineering reviews like Systems Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), and Critical Design Reviews (CDR)
- Use engineering knowledge to ensure qualification test plans adequately test new hardware compliance to system requirements.
- Review Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Request for Change (RFC) documentation to validate Technical Data Package (TDP) changes are accurate.
- Research and develop Courses of Action to help government customers make informed decisions on emerging requirements and obsolescence mitigation efforts.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Systems Preferred) with 4 years of relevant experience, OR
- Master's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience, OR
- PhD in lieu of relevant experience
- Experience with hardware technical data packages, missile system hardware, engineering design reviews, and hardware integration.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Active security clearance
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Experience supporting U.S. Army Air Defense Launcher and Missile programs
- Knowledge of Army Systems Engineering design practices and requirements specifications processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to Hardware Design and Integration efforts
- Familiarity with reading and evaluating engineering Technical Data Packages
- Experience with Models Based Systems Engineering (Cameo, MagicDraw, etc.)
