Position Type: Contract
Location: Hancock, MI
Duration: 8 weeks
Schedule: Evening/Night Flex – 40 hours/week, with flexibility for 48 hours/week
Shift Length: 8-hour shifts

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Long-Term Care (LTC) assignment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working a flexible afternoon and overnight schedule and providing safe, compassionate nursing care in a long-term care setting.

Assignment Details

• Position: LPN – LTC
• Schedule: 40–48 hours per week
• Shift Length: 8-hour shifts
• Shift Options:
  • 2:45 PM – 10:45 PM
  • 10:45 PM – 6:45 AM
• Weekly schedule may include a combination of afternoon and overnight shifts.
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Requirements

• Active Michigan LPN license required.
• Previous long-term care experience preferred.
• Ability to work both afternoon and night shifts.
• Availability for 40–48 hours per week .
• Ability to follow patient-care, safety, and infection-control standards.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective nursing care according to established policies and standards.
• Assess residents and monitor changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Accurately document patient care and clinical observations.
• Communicate changes in resident status to the appropriate healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist with ongoing care planning and patient needs.
• Maintain compliance with infection-control and patient-safety protocols.
• Provide compassionate and professional care to residents in a long-term care environment.
