RADIOLOGIC TECH/PAIN MANAGEMENT CONTINGENT

Toledo Clinic's Interventional Pain Management Department is seeking a CONTINGENT Rad Tech. This position will be scheduled as needed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00-4:30. General SummaryAssists with radiology procedures as ordered by physician. Performs other clinical and clerical duties to assist the office.Works under the supervision of the attending physician(s) and/or the office coordinator.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesConsistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.Assist Physician with Radiographic/Fluoroscopic procedures.Answering phones - courteously and professionally.Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications.Updating insurance information.Answering general patient questions.Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.Escorting patients to exam rooms.Other Essential Duties May Include but Are Not Limited ToMonitor equipment.Request supplies.Collecting co-pays. Preparing and cleaning exam rooms.Sorting and filing patient charts.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities RequiredRequired:Consistently arrives at work in appropriate/professional attire.Completes all tasks within established time frame.Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.Holds current certification as a Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with a minimum of one year of experience.Holds a valid state Ohio Radiologic License issued by the Ohio Department of Health.Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed. Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.Education:Successful completion of accredited radiologic technologist program.
