This role supports project completion by ensuring modular units are installed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on construction experience who enjoys travel, problem-solving, and working as part of a collaborative team in a dynamic field environment.What You’ll DoAssist with modular installation, assembly, and repair activities at construction sites, ensuring projects are completed according to specifications and deadlinesOperate and maintain tools and equipment to support safe and efficient job site operationsIdentify and troubleshoot basic installation issues, resolving problems quickly to minimize delays and maintain quality standardsCollaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and ensure successful project executionFollow blueprints, detailed instructions, and safety protocols to ensure accurate and compliant installationsCommunicate project progress, material needs, and potential issues to supervisorsLead and promote healthy and safe work practices in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policyMaintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendancePerform additional duties as assignedWho You AreHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of hands-on construction experienceEligible to work in the United StatesStrong carpentry skills and familiarity with power toolsKnowledge of modular construction and blueprint readingStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work effectively as part of a teamExcellent understanding of construction safety practices and a commitment to workplace safetyWork EnvironmentWork is performed primarily at construction sites across the United StatesExposure to construction equipment, machinery, noise, dust, and varying weather conditionsPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests, must be worn as requiredFrequent use of power tools and hand toolsTravel required up to 85% of the timePhysical AbilitiesAbility to lift and carry up to 80 poundsAbility to push or pull loads up to 50 poundsStrong balance, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterityAbility to meet visual and auditory acuity requirementsAbility to stand for extended periods throughout the workdayPhysical stamina required to perform demanding construction-related tasksWhat You’ll GetZ Modular at Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental coverage.
