Level 3 Machinist (CNC Machine Shop)- Pay up to $24.47/hr- IN

Location: Lafayette, IN

Pay: $24.47/hr

Shift:

• 1st Shift: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM | $24.47/hr
• 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM | $25.33/hr
• 3rd Shift: 11:30 PM - 7:30 AM | $25.33/hr

• Set up and operate CNC machines.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts.
• Perform metal cutting, drilling, grinding, reaming, and deburring operations.
• Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, dial indicators, and tape measures.
• Read blueprints, control plans, and work instructions.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials.
• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Follow all safety, housekeeping, and PPE requirements.

• Manufacturing or machine shop experience.
• Experience operating machines in a production environment (CNC preferred).
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Ability to perform quality inspections and verify specifications.
• Basic math skills for measurements and tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret measuring devices accurately.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Blueprint reading experience.
• Quality inspection experience.
• Deburring experience.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Experience with drill presses, grinding machines, boring mills, and machine setup/changeovers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lafayette, IN.

The pay range for this position is $24.47 - $24.47/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
