Position Overview

Job Title: Speech Therapist II
Position Type: Contract - 03+ months (with possibilities of extension)

Core Responsibilities
• Assess patients for speech-language therapy needs.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans.
• Review medical histories and perform evaluations/screenings.
• Establish care plans with patients and families.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment and home programs.
• Conduct re-evaluations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage multiple patients concurrently.
• Complete documentation accurately and in compliance with regulations.
• Participate in continuing education and apply evidence-based practices.
• Assist with orientation of new staff.
• Serve as a clinical instructor for interns.
• Conduct literature reviews and staff consultations.
• Provide staff in-services and clinical education support.

Required Experience
• 18+ months of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
• Required Clinical Knowledge
• Experience treating patients across:
• General Medicine
• Orthopedics
• Neurology
• Cardiopulmonary
• Gastroenterology
• Otolaryngology (ENT)
• Required Certifications & Licensure
• Current California Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
