Registered Nurse - Postpartum
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends. No on-call requirements.
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Postpartum team. This role involves providing exceptional nursing care to postpartum patients in a 24-bed unit. The RN will work collaboratively with a team of nurses and support staff to ensure the highest level of care for new mothers and their infants.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for postpartum patients, including monitoring vital signs and managing pain.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist with non-stress tests and hyperemesis management.
- Coordinate with the healthcare team on patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum care and infant care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must have an active RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Previous experience in Labor & Delivery (L/D) or Antepartum is preferred.
