Senior Project Controls Manager The Senior Project Controls Manager enables the success of projects by using strong technical knowledge of Project Controls Services to develop, standardize, implement, and execute project controls systems on portfolios and projects. The main objective of this role is to ensure the project control system enables the project to remain on a path to achieve the desired schedule and budget outcomes. As the Senior Project Controls Manager you will be doing cost controls and planning for a bio‑pharma client in New Jersey. This role can be remote with travel one time per month to the site location. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform Project Controls Services, including capital planning, portfolio and project governance, front‑end planning, project funding, project set‑up, construction technology, procure‑to‑pay, project, cost & commercial managing, schedule control, risk management, and project close‑out. Participate in the delivery of portfolios, programs, and project delivery. Support development of client capital plans and associated updates by providing cash‑flow and accrual information. Assist in preparing front‑end planning assessments to ensure projects are well thought out and planned prior to funding. Facilitate the funding process by consolidating information from various sources into a holistic funding request document. Work closely with clients to set up project systems and coding and communicate requirements to those providing inputs. Enable effective governance by providing fact‑based information, including reports. Assist in the operation of construction technology and ensure the flow of information to enable efficient execution and control. Participate in developing project sourcing strategies and set up procure‑to‑pay structure. Forecast and predictively influence project outcomes. Review and analyze schedule development and progression to proactively influence outcomes. Identify, quantify, and partner to develop risk mitigation plans. Ensure effective closure of projects, including completion of all financial activities. Support cost controls efforts for multi‑phase or complex funding structures. Provide feedback for process improvements. Perform other duties as assigned and attend work during normal business hours. Knowledge & Skills Required Demonstrated technical competency in project controls services, including project set‑up, construction technology, procure‑to‑pay, cost & commercial managing, schedule control, risk management, and close‑out. Proficient in cost estimating for construction projects, providing pricing expertise in various phases. Strong research skills and ability to allocate relevant data. Knowledge of construction technology, economics, delivery methodologies, tax and insurance requirements, general conditions, and construction law. Experience with parametric, top‑down, and bottom‑up estimates. Proficient with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Excel, Primavera (P6), MS Project, Power BI, Procore, and ACC Build. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Self‑accountable, teamwork, and continuous self‑development orientation. Preferred Education and Experience BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field. 8+ years in Project Controls or related roles, with 5+ years in Life Sciences. Preferred Certifications: MRICS, CPE, CCE, CEP, PMP, Six Sigma. Salary and Compensation The salary range for this full‑time role is $120,200.00 – $160,266.69 per year. Ranges are based on position, geography, client and industry experience, and level. This range reflects base salary only.
