Details Critical access hospital in a rural setting with 18 inpatient beds Therapy department is over 90% outpatient with the remaining 10% inpatient/swing bed patients Interdisciplinary therapy team consisting of PT, OT, and Speech Therapy Treats all ages and diagnoses including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general adult populations Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm 20-week assignment Requirements Current Illinois PT license required if applicable Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy or accredited college/university with a certificate in Physical Therapy Current BLS/BCLS certification required Experience in all aspects of physical therapy required Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Basic computer knowledge required Knowledge of physical medicine, PT modalities, anatomy, and physiology Physical demands include vision, hearing, repetitive motion, and standing Additional Information Responsibilities include evaluation, planning, directing, and administering PT treatments as prescribed by a physician Supervises and delegates responsibilities to supportive PT staff Performs patient assessments and formulates individualized plans of care and teaching plans, including family involvement as appropriate Ensures accurate and timely documentation and patient charges Coordinates and communicates with physicians, staff, and administrative team to ensure quality patient care Participates in infection control, equipment training, safety, and quality programs Maintains professionalism and respect for patient and family cultural, psychosocial, and spiritual needs American Traveler Job ID #P-749904.
