Job Description
Title
Level II NICU - Unstable Newborns

Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Level II NICU
- Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP
- 2 references covering 1 year of practice within the last 3 years (can include Charge RNs/Lead)
- Key clinical skills include:
- Respiratory support: CPAP/BiPAP, Bubble CPAP, oxygen delivery systems
- Airway/emergency: Assist with RSI drugs, procedure sedation
- Vascular/access: PICC/central lines, UAC/UVC
- Monitoring/infusions: Syringe pumps, IV vasopressors
- Procedures/lines: Chest tube set-up/care
- Thermoregulation: Cooling/warming blankets
- Feeding/GI: Feeding tubes, gavage, breastfeeding support
- Neonatal conditions/therapies: Surfactant, steroids, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS)
- Other: Isolation precautions/PPE

Roles & Responsibilities
- Attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
- Provide couplet care and transition nursery support
- Potentially float to Postpartum and L&D as needed
- Commit to necessary weekend staffing requirements
